This is where it all began. In their early twenties, the Beatles came on the scene and the music world never saw and heard such great original-sounding rock music with urgency in its vocals and playing like this...it was like they came from another planet. Their infectious smiles were not even fair! They took music as it was, and sent it off in another direction never to be the same again. Disliking the Beatles would be akin to disliking the sun!
John Lennon's vocals are extremely powerful in "Twist & Shout", "This Boy", and "Please, Mr. Postman". I think Lennon's early Beatles vocals are the most powerful in rock history. How can 3 guys in their early twenties do 3-part harmony like that, in "This Boy"?
