A memo being circulated by the distribution company behind Republican shock jock Rush Limbaugh has revealed a massive flight from Limbaugh’s program in the wake of his offensive comments about a Georgetown law student.

The companies include major corporate players like Sony, British Petroleum, McDonald’s, NBC, Toyota, Subway, Lowes, Autozone, Geico, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, State Farm, IBM and many others.

And in a surprise reveal, it appears that the U.S. Army is among them.

In all, 141 advertisers have left Limbaugh’s show so far, but just 50 were known before the memo surfaced. It shows that 91 additional companies have ditched not just Limbaugh, but right-wing radio talkers altogether, including Limbaugh acolytes Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. Limbaugh is often cited as the unofficial voice of the Republican Party.

I wrote this post in honor of the March 8th International Women's Day, which I didn't hear a word about in the "liberal media" or virtually ANY media.

Where did all these type of women go? Why aren't they protesting the GOP & rightwing media's turning the clock back on them with their "War On Women" going on in America, and the lack of coverage of the "War On Women" by the mainstream so-called "liberal media"? Where were all the stories in the mainstream "liberal" media when they just had the PERFECT OPPORTUNITY to juxtapose the Rush Limbaugh misogynist comments coinciding with International Women's Day? We're now down to SUPPOSED women "leaders" like: Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter, Liz Cheney...at least in the so-called mainstream media. "Controlled" under wraps FAKE women leaders who are also part of the American Taliban, trying to turn back the clock and betray their sisters. PRETENDING to be "women leaders". Women leaders IN the American Taliban, MARRIED to someone in the American Taliban, or BACKING the American Taliban...AREN'T WOMEN LEADERS. They're AMERICAN TALIBAN LEADERS! How can the most modern country have one of two major parties, in a time of endless wars, unemployment, and financial crisis, have one of its two major parties preoccupied with an obsession with women's vaginas? How can the Republican Party, or the American Taliban, possibly be getting away with it without going the way of the dinosaur? How can they still be getting candidates "elected" to office? Why aren't MILLIONS of women protesting a bunch of corrupt male politicians constantly legislation things that affect their bodies?

If the mainstream media was "liberal", which it isn't (it's OWNED by 5 major corporations), the phrases "War On Women" would be on the tip of everyone's tongues as much as "War On Terror" and "War On Drugs". We'd have mainstream media articles by real experts - psychologists and psychiatrists - explaining the affect of the GOP & rightwing media's "War On Women" on our population. They should be answering questions such as "Does the GOP & rightwing media's 'War On Women' cause more violence against women? How does it affect not only women but DITTOHEADS who constantly hear Rush Limbaugh refer to women, for 3 decades, as "feminazis", "sluts", and "prostitutes"? How does it affect the treatment of women when one of the major parties, the American Taliban, made up of virtually all men and many of them corrupt, keeps introducing legislation about women's bodies, birth control, and contraception like we're living in a 3rd world country? Why are the wives of the American Taliban putting up with their husbands doing this? Have they been affected by this and are rendered psychologically helpless and useless by their American Taliban husband politicians?

Why hasn't there been any in-depth investigative stories by the "liberal media" featuring the "WIVES OF THE AMERICAN TALIBAN", and why they sit idly by while their husbands write "War On Women" legislation?

First of all, Jesus had to have put the Denver Broncos in the only possible division where an 8-8 record could win the division: the division with the Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, and Oakland Raiders, who all stink.

And how can an 8-8 team with a lousy quarterback who does not possess NFL quarterback skills and shouldn't be in the playoffs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers and their #1 ranked defense without the help of Jesus?

But Jesus didn't help Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos just because Tebow outwardly shows his Christianity. Jesus also helped them because the Pittsburgh Steelers are MUSLIMS!

Divine Intervention: the game finished tied so Jesus intervened with the referees to make the Denver Broncos win the coin flip for overtime, so he could have TIM TEBOW instantly on the first play throw a miraculous 80 yard touchdown pass. But look closely at the 8 second mark of this video below. The Pittsburgh Muslims...OOPS! I mean the Pittsburgh Steelers player #24 is about to make an easy tackle of the Denver Broncos receiver when you see his arms flail up in the air...as if an "invisble blocker" is blocking him. An unemployed man who opened fire on parishioners in a church over the weekend in Knoxville, Tennessee, killing two and wounding seven, had expressed hatred for what he called the "liberal movement," police said Monday.

Adkisson said he also was frustrated about not being able to obtain a job, Owen said.

RUSH: The Federal Reserve slashed interest rates 75 basis points today, three-quarters of a cut. Everybody expecting half a point, got three-quarters of a point, and so now the interest rate is down to 3 1/2%. And CNBC, well probably CNN too, they have just been spoiling for a recession. They have been spoiling for a crash today. Of course, that means ratings for them. But they've been doing everything they could to make this worse. The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened today down about 300, and I think it was high as down 390. Now it's down 144. What a buying opportunity! What an absolute buying opportunity here (bd: The crashing economy is great! If you're a multi-millionaire like Rush Limbaugh!). The last time the Federal Reserve cut rates as much as they did today was in August 1982, about 26 years ago. This is absolutely huge, and have you noticed the price of oil, ladies and gentlemen? The price of oil, where it is right now, crude oil is -- futures, 88 bucks (bd: oil was $20/gallon when Bush took office), $88.58, down from when it was nearly flirting at the $100-per-barrel price. And Harry Reid, Dingy Harry, says the economy is or could be heading towards a recession. Now, that, folks, is the best news of the week, the absolute best news of the week.

The politician who said we lost the war is now saying that we have lost or are losing the economy. What I know is this: When Dingy Harry makes a call, the opposite is almost a sure thing. I want to explain this for people, because there is a lot of angst, and there's a lot of panic out there, and it's been driven and flames are being fanned by the Drive-By Media today, particularly at CNBC. By the way, they have the Money Honey over there in Davos, Switzerland, the annual Davos economic forum, and I saw the strangest thing. She's standing outside, and she's wearing one of those communist raccoon hats, the kind that Bill Schneider wears at CNN when the temperature drops below 60. She's got this giant thing on and she's all bundled up, a couple scarves, and there's snow on the ground. Wow. It's cold, and there's lots of snow in Switzerland here in January. I was stunned to see that. I didn't expect to see snow, and I didn't expect to see the Money Honey all bundled up, I mean, because of global warming (bd: Global Warming doesn't exist, paid for by Exxon/Mobile). The Alps are melting, that's what we're told. (interruption) Well, the snow on the Alps, Mr. Snerdley. The mountains themselves don't melt. We need to get a lot closer to the sun for that to happen.

But look, folks, we live here in a dynamic economy. We live in the most robust economy in the history of human civilization. A lot of us are not aware of that because we've only lived here so we have expectations based on relative strength and prosperity and affluence and the expectation that all that's going to increase, and when there are moments and it appears that we're going to take a downward cycle, people panic, refusing to keep things in proper perspective. But in a dynamic economy, such as ours, in a capitalist economy, such as ours, markets correct. Remember that word, "correct." That is short for correct mistakes. You leave the market alone, it will fix itself. It may take some time, but it will. Businesses, out of necessity, correct their mistakes. Lenders, banks, correct their mistakes (bd: Lenders & Bankers!!! LOL!!!). Sometimes those mistakes are big; sometimes they're huge; sometimes they are hurtful; sometimes they are devastating. But, they correct their mistakes.


Can I give you an example of something that does not correct its mistakes very often, if ever? Bureaucracies. Bureaucracies do not correct their mistakes. They pile on them. That's why a free economy will get more productive and bloated bureaucracies will get more bloated. And when I say bureaucracy here, think of the federal government. It's safe to say that what's going on right now is that the markets are correcting (bd: Don't make any corrections with the government that might help the poor and middle class!), and if the politicians -- and I mean politicians on both sides here -- in an election year would follow the Hippocratic Oath, first, do no harm, the correction could not be so deep and not so long. On the other hand, if a bunch of lawyers decide to fix it, we could be in a fix. I make no predictions here. But this is reminder for those of you who don't know your history, and this is key, especially if the privatization of Social Security ever comes up again (bd: ALARM! ALARM! ALARM! DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING!!!!!!!!!! EXPECT CORPORATE-CONTROLLED MEDIA STORIES TO START POPPING UP, ABOUT PRIVATIZING SOCIAL SECURITY!!!!!!! On October 19th, 1987, just two weeks later, the Dow Jones Industrial Average low was 1677. So in two weeks it went from 2658 to 1677 on October 19th of '87. That was the best buying opportunity in the last 20 years, because since 1987 we have gone from 1677 on the Dow to 14,200.

Don't you wish your retirement fund had started in 1987 at 1677 on the Dow? Even today, we're flirting with 12,000. What a growth opportunity, what a buying opportunity that was. Now, some of the things we might want to correct, I said bureaucracies never correct their mistakes, they only add to them. Governments never correct their mistakes. How about this business of jobs Americans won't do. That's hokum, we could correct it. We're too proud and we are too guilty to produce our own energy. We encourage citizens to go out and buy a muffler, and doing that is not as productive as encouraging business to expand and business to hire. Of course, the Great Society, the war on poverty, everything else, miserable failures (bd: The Nazi media has been trying to dismantle the Great Society for decades, that's their objective!). What do we do? Compound the failure by adding to the failure with the same plans, redundant, over and over again. We don't correct our mistakes in government. We never admit them. Well, the people in government don't and they don't have to correct, and they should.

Now, not everybody is ignoring the expected Democrat tax increases (bd: Don't repeal the tax cuts for the rich!). Voters might ignore reality, but businesses won't. So this is going to be very interesting to watch to see what happens with this rate cut, with the Drive-Bys doing everything they can to drive down the perception of the economy today, and they're failing. Watch this. It's been fascinating to see.

We speak with Grace Lee Boggs, the legendary 92-year-old civil rights activist, who has been pivotally involved with the civil rights, black power, labor, peace, environmental justice, Asian American and feminist movements. Bogg recalls King’s legacy in terms of “a radical revolution of values against the giant triplets of racism, materialism and militarism.”

Grace Lee Boggs, 92-year-old civil rights and environmental justice activist. She has lived in Detroit for fifty-four years and writes for the weekly Michigan Citizen. In 1992 she co-founded the Detroit Summer youth program, and her autobiography Living for Change was published in 1998.
