"I know the prime minister of Iraq told us to get out, but I'm here's what he really meant...ummm...he either didn't mean what he said, or he was misquoted...when he said he wants us to get out, he meant that he didn't want us to get out..."
From Democracy NOW! news:
Maliki Calls for Timetable for US Troop Withdrawal
"Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has for the first time publicly called for a timetable for the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq. The Bush administration has been secretly negotiating a long-term agreement with Iraq that would allow the US to keep permanent military bases in Iraq. But al-Maliki said Iraq only wants to sign a short-term agreement that includes a withdrawal timetable. Al-Maliki said, “The goal is to end the presence of foreign troops.” In Washington, the Bush administration rebuffed Maliki’s request. Pentagon spokesperson Bryan Whitman criticized time lines as “artificial.” State Department spokesperson Sean McCormack questioned whether Maliki might have been misquoted."
Get that? The "democratically elected" prime minister of Iraq wants us out of there! The Bush administration, though, quickly tells us "what they really mean". They didn't mean it! According to the Bush administration and John McCain, they didn't mean it! Iraq isn't a sovereign country and the Bush administration doesn't want it to be. They are not trying to win and get out. "Mission Accomplished" is perpetual war on "terror", and endless war profits. They sure got you to wave a flag, though, didn't they? You fell for it! Stupid Americans fell for it!
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has for the first time suggested establishing a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, a step that the Bush administration has long opposed.
Watch this movie, you'll never be the same (2 hours long)... give it a chance to buffer, it's working!:
