Pentagon 'desperately' searching for Wikileaks founder to prevent him from leaking his latest story.

Anxious that Wikileaks may be on the verge of publishing a batch of secret State Department cables, investigators are desperately searching for founder Julian Assange.

US ‘desperately’ trying to keep Wikileaks from publishing US communications about Arab states

To get a clear picture of what this entails, contrast the Manning case with another example of the administration’s attitude toward security “leaks”: the case of the AIPAC duo, Steve Rosen and Keith Weissman, two top officials of the Israel lobby accused of stealing classified information and of running a spy ring inside the Pentagon that funneled our secrets to Israeli embassy officials. Rosen and Weissman were recorded culling secrets from the Pentagon’s top Iran specialist, Larry Franklin, as they huddled in Washington’s dark corners. Bush’s Justice Department prosecuted the case, which went on for years: one of the first acts of the Eric Holder regime, however, once Obama was inaugurated, was to drop all the charges – in spite of voluminous evidence that the accused had indeed stolen some of our most closely guarded secrets and handed them over to a foreign power.

More on the above Wikileaks story and contrasting it to the AIPAC espionage case that Holder just recently dismissed.

Unhealthy Devotion: Inability to Say 'No' is Harmful to U.S., Israel and World Peace

Smuggled film from the Israelis murdering/executing people on the humanitarian aid ship Mavi Marma, including a 19 year old U.S. citizen.

The first thing the Israelis did when they boarded the humanitarian aid boats to Gaza, was confiscate all cameras, video recorders, and any they could control the story. BUT...1 hour of video was smuggled out. The Israeli-occupied U.S. mainstream media isn't showing you this. Here it is:

In a Democracy Now! exclusive, we bring you a sneak preview of previously unseen raw footage from the Mavi Marmara that will be formally released at a press conference at the United Nations later in the day. The footage shows the mood and the activities onboard the Mavi Marmara in the time leading up to the attack, and the immediate reaction of the passengers during the attack. We are joined by filmmaker and activist Iara Lee, one of the few Americans on the Mavi Marmara ship. Her equipment was confiscated, but she managed to smuggle out an hour’s worth of footage.

The most penetrating political interviews on television these days are on Comedy Central. Stephen Colbert's grilling of Michael Oren last night was a classic. Deftly using comedy, Colbert got Oren to essentially admit that the blockade of Gaza is not just about the legitimate issue of restricting weapons getting through to Hamas. It's about collectively punishing the people of Gaza for using a democratic election to back Hamas. It's about turning the 1.5 million people there into helpless dependents on Israeli industry and the impoverishment of any private sector in that beleaguered de facto refugee camp.
