It's not sexist to call McCain's Sarah Palin pick what it is. A gift to the religious right.
It seems that we have only been thrown a few scraps of half-truths regarding Sarah Palin's very unusual circumstances regarding the labor and birth of little Trig. And there's been some mighty peculiar behavior, some which could be considered to be quite dangerous to a child. So, this is not just a private family issue, this exemplifies how the American people might expect Sarah Palin to act on our behalf, and, importantly, on our children's.
The Alaska Independence Party (AIP) says Sarah Palin was a member. You're going to hear from rightwingers today that there is no official record of her being a member of the AIP. Well, her husband was a member and she never officially changed her registration, but beyond a doubt, she had associations with the AIP, read here and here. This is exactly like how rightwingers questioned the Dan Rather documents which had nothing to do with the fact of Bush being AWOL. It's called "distracting from the real issue". Why don't people ever refer to Bush being a "veteran"?
