AIG - Arrogance Incompetence Greed

Special commentary by Big Dan: "Am I insane, or is AIG justifying paying their executives, who are LOUSY or they wouldn't be in this mess, $170 million in bonuses? They are saying they won't be able to 'retain them'. So, they're taking $170 million of our bailout taxpayer money to GIVE to executives that STINK to RETAIN them! Further, they are saying they have 'contracts' to pay them this by law. Aren't the contracts 'null and void' since taxpayers now own 80% of failing AIG? When they agreed to TAKE all this taxpayer bailout money, they VOIDED ANY AND ALL CONTRACTS! Why is no one saying this? They should all be fired and replaced with competent people with OUR permission! We should've let them fail, then they wouldn't have $170 million to pay these bonuses! They asked auto workers making $17/hr to make concessions, and not THESE guys??? Update to commentary: But beware when you see guys like Grassley and Krauthammer and FOX 'news' joining the pitchfork mob! Because when known liars start telling the truth, and I mean the RIGHT, they're not doing it for YOUR good! They're doing it to regain power like RIGHT in Germany before WWII. As they join the mob, they won't mention that it is THEIR policies of the last 30 years beginning with REAGAN that put us here in the first place! See my article below 'The Origins of Collapse in Nixon/Reagan/Bush Sellouts, Criminality and Incompetence'. These guys like Grassley and Krauthammer and FOX 'news' that are now joining the pitchfork gang ARE NOT MENTIONING THAT IT IS THEIR POLICIES OF THE LAST 30 YEARS THAT PUT US HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Let's get THEM with the pitchforks, too, while we're at it!!! Just beware of people joining the pitchfork crowd, but only to steer it in a certain direction, a BAD direction! It's like the WORSE guy you SHOULD be getting, jumping into the crowd with you, and joining the "let's get 'em's" and getting the lower guys, but they're bad. But not as bad as the guy who jumped in the crowd with you. "

When Is It Going To Be Enough, America?

I think the best action for the United States and the rest of the world would be a massive act of peaceful civil disobedience. Stop paying mortgages. Stop paying credit card bills and student loans.

As US Economy Continues To Tank, More Bonuses Planned For Bankers

Bailouts for Wall Street insiders are a complete waste of $trillions$. It was Ronald Reagan whose policies began the process by which American jobs --the very source of American wealth --were exported 'offshore' to China, Japan, India, Viet Nam, et al. US robber baron elites are lying and/or wrong about the source of this nation's wealth. Every economist of significance --right or left --has said that 'labor' is the source of 'value'.

Not content to merely export American jobs, these 'robber barons' have demanded and received whopping bailouts which they've likewise exported to offshore tax havens. The 'robber baron elites' --a mere one percent of the total population and decreasing still --had set this nation on a 'race to the bottom' where we have, in fact, arrived.

The government can't stop AIG, but Stephen's mob can.
