● Some of the nation’s largest pharmaceutical companies defended their TV advertisements Thursday from Democrats pushing for tougher marketing restrictions. Executives from Pfizer Inc., Johnson & Johnson and a joint venture of Merck and Schering Plough testified before House lawmakers on three discontinued advertisements. All three promotions were criticized by Democrats as potentially misleading consumers.

Republican Senator David Vitter of Louisiana, who admitted committing adultery by fucking one of the DC Madam's prostitutes, is happy that judge dismissed ethics complaint about him. The DC Madam was found dead, hanging in a shed this week...btw...HEY! Isn't that ironic? That both things happened in the same week?● An ethics complaint against Senator David Vitter (R-LA) filed by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has been dismissed without prejudice today. The complaint, submitted to the Committee on July 19, 2007, requested that it conduct an investigation into whether Sen. Vitter violated Senate rules by seeking the services of Pamela Martin and Associates, the escort service run by the late Deborah Jeane Palfrey, better known as the "DC Madam."

Summary: In 2004, the editorial pages of The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal called on Teresa Heinz Kerry to release her tax returns. But both have yet to call on Sen. John McCain's campaign to release Cindy McCain's tax returns or even note that the campaign has refused to do so.
