Big Dan's Big News May 8, 2008

The "Alzheimer's Express"

McCain proposes an idea: Create a task force on human trafficking. The thing is? There already is one! Listen to the shill crowd cheer when he says we should create something that already exists! Yay! They're probably all "dittoheads"! Only a bunch of "dittoheads" would cheer a senile old man proposing to create a task force that already exists! This is actually scary! How many passes is John McCain going to get by the media for making assinine statements like this? It's one thing giving him a forum to say things, it's another thing to point out that what he's saying doesn't make any sense! He hasn't a clue what's going on, everytime he opens his mouth! Someone on CNN should've come on after this, and said, "By the way? The task force that McCain just proposed making...already exists! Just an 'fyi' for all you CNN listeners..." You're just as stupid as he is, if you're going to vote for him. You shouldn't be allowed to vote!

Special commentary by Big Dan: "What's this about the Democratic primary fracturing the party and all that bullshit, because it's going on so long? There are a record numbers of voters registering as Democrats because of it! You couldn't plan anything better than this if you tried, to get record Democratic registrations in all 50 states! It's got to be driving the creeps in the picture below this absolutely INSANE!"

When the Pentagon announced an obscure California company had won a lucrative military contract, no one mentioned any plans for a Caribbean outpost — a tropical shell the company quickly created that allowed it to duck millions in taxes and deflect U.S. lawsuits.

Having received "compassionate" care at the clinic, Mary was distressed to learn earlier this year that a Wichita grand jury, investigating whether Tiller had violated Kansas abortion laws, had subpoenaed the private medical records of approximately 2,000 patients who had visited Women's Health Care Services over the previous four and a half years. The grand jury had been convened as a result of a petition drive by Kansans for Life and the extremist anti-abortion group Operation Rescue, who gathered more than the roughly 4,000 signatures required under an 1887 state law that allows citizens to empanel grand juries.

The FBI has withdrawn an illegal National Security Letter seeking information from an online library and has lifted a gag order that until Wednesday prevented any discussion of the information request. Lawyers from the American Civil Liberties Union and Electronic Frontier Foundation helped the Internet Archive push back against what they say was an overly broad and unlawful request for information on one of its users. The FBI issued its National Security Letter in November, but ACLU, EFF and Archive officials were precluded from discussing it with anyone because of a gag order they say was unconstitutional.
