Big Dan's Big News August 4, 2008

Strangely Silent!

Hey! Mr. Bush! Ms. Rice! Mr. Cheney! Mr. Rumsfeld! Mr. Blair! What do you think of the anthrax mailer supposedly being caught right before Bush leaves office, after 7 long years? Nuthin'? No big deal?

Let me recap the anthrax story for you:

● The latest story is that someone in the U.S. government mailed the anthrax letters, Bruce Ivins.
● He mailed them to 2 top members of the Democratic party who opposed the war to shut them up.
● He mailed them to media heads to shut them up.
● No corporate news entity has mentioned that if this guy did it, he was trying to pin the blame on Islamic terrorists to get us to bomb Iraq.
● There is a coordinated effort to judge Ivins guilty in the corporate news, mostly based on therapist Jean Duley's wild hearsay accusations.
● Jean Duley said that Ivins tried to murder people as far back as 2000, but didn't EVER do anything about stopping him from working with anthrax.
● ABC news ran stories 24x7 at the time, that falsely blamed Islamic terrorists for the anthrax letters.
● We're still waiting for ABC news to be subpoenaed in front of a congressional hearing to disclose their 4 sources that supplied them with those false stories.

Guess what? There's definitely something funny going on here! Their own words and reporting don't make any sense! You don't have to be a genius to think so! Why isn't ABC news being supoenaed in front of congress to disclose their sources that told them the anthrax letters were connected to Islamic terrorists? Why didn't people who handled these anthrax letters for Daschle, Leahy, and Peter Jennings die of anthrax?

And NOW...WaPo is screwing around with their reporting of this story!

Washington Post Scrubs Friday Article That Cast Doubt on Reported 'Anthrax Killer' Case. Then Returns to Similar Questions About Ivins' Lack of Acces to 'Dry, Powdered Anthrax' in Sunday Article. New WaPo Story Begs Additional New Questions in Feds' Purported Case...

In the waning months of the Bush regime, the untimely death of civilian microbiologist Dr. Bruce Ivins, a 36-year career scientist for the US military, is surely 'convenient' closure for the administration to the case of the 'unsolved' bioterror attacks of 2001. There will be no charges and no public trial. Much too convenient.

Consider the offhand manner in which Ivins has been essentially posthumously convicted in the media without so much as waiting for an autopsy report ; incongruously and without explanation labeling a man who for years volunteered as a musician at his weekly church services as 'homicidal'.

Or more significantly, the conspicuous lack of charges against a colleague of Ivins' at Fort Detrick in Maryland, Lt. Col. Philip Zack, reported in mainstream press (Hartford Courant, Seattle Times) to have been caught on security cameras trespassing after hours at the labs-- at a time when specimens had gone missing

Anthrax Mystery: Questions Raised over Whether Government Is Framing Dead Army Scientist for 2001 Attacks

Larisa: Okay, well the more research I do into the now infamous Ms. Jean C. Duley - the "therapist" who filed a restraining order against the alleged anthrax attacks suspect Bruce E. Ivins - the more her story sounds like a whole load of crap. Let's rehash Ms. Duley's role in the whole saga.

US Government RATS Did The Anthrax Attacks.Yes, Dr. Bruce E. Ivins is now 'Suspect Number One' for the 2001 anthrax attacks on America. He supposedly killed himself (with relatively slow-acting tylenol-codeine) rather than face criminal indictment, trial and possible execution. Among the strangeness surrounding his 'suicide', Ivins died even before the formal complaint was finished that was to be filed against him. Case closed? Not even close.

CHILLING IF TRUE: Rumsfeld To Profit From Avian Flu Hoax

Rumsfeld's growing stake in Tamiflu. Defense Secretary, ex-chairman of flu treatment rights holder, sees portfolio value growing. NEW YORK (Fortune) - The prospect of a bird flu outbreak may be panicking people around the globe, but it's proving to be very good news for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other politically connected investors in Gilead Sciences, the California biotech company that owns the rights to Tamiflu, the influenza remedy that's now the most-sought after drug in the world.

Bird Flu: A Rumsfeld Plot

DOJ settles anthrax case !!!! So why did they bury the story as part of the Friday evening news dump? First off, because SETTLING the case is not the same as SOLVING the case. The anthrax case they settled was brought by Steven Hatfill. He's the guy Ashcroft identified as a "person of interest" when people were agitating for a real investigation. Turns out Hatfill was innocent. That means the government wasted millions of dollars harrassing him, and now they have to pay millions of dollars more to settle the lawsuit he filed for invading his privacy and ruining his life. Heckuva job Ashcroft!

Arab scientists recount hostility and harassment at military anthrax lab

Rumsfeld, Bush and the Great Anti-Bioterror Drug Scam. How the most evil, least competent and most inappropriate drug companies (including Donald Rumsfeld''s company) are ripping America off in the name of fighting terrorism - while leaving a trail of dead and disabled soldiers. Two months before 9/11, a report by an independent panel of experts on the viability of developing and using vaccines to protect soldiers from anthrax, smallpox, and other bioweapons was impractical, poorly conceived, and doomed to failure. Congress was sent a copy of this report. But, then 9/11 came and Bush() used fear - his prime cattle prod of the American people, especially of Congress - to sweep aside any second thoughts about selling out not just civil liberties, but the well being of our troops.

Deadly specimens disappeared from Army research lab in '90s

Under the guise of business as usual, consider the huge improprieties in the securities markets that went unnoticed before and immediately after 9/11/2001, contributing to the attacks’ awful success and America’s subsequent decline.

I’m talking about the insider trading behind the “put and call options” scandals that allowed certain individuals to pull in huge profits. Stated as simply as possible, put options were used on stocks that would be hurt by the attack, and call options were used on stocks that would benefit. In the put case you’re betting on a fall in the price of stocks; in the call case, you’re betting on a rise in the price of a stock.

Put options were made on the struck airlines, insurance companies and banks pre-and-through-9/11, as if someone had foreknowledge something bad was going to happen to bring down the price of the stocks. A 9-11 Research report on Insider Trading headlines the tale: “Pre-9/11 Put Options on Companies Hurt by Attack Indicates Foreknowledge.”

There were huge surges in the purchase of put options on stocks of the two airlines, specifically United and American, used and abused in the attack. In fact, American and United Airlines, each with two planes that disappeared that day, as early as September 6, were experiencing dramatic spikes in put options on days when their stock prices were stable. Bloomberg News reported put options on the airlines soared to an unbelievable high, 285 times their average.

What’s of interest is that in the time preceding 9/11 nobody noticed or bothered to connect dots in this buying/selling trend. It was “business as usual” while some group conducted a huge insider trading strike that ultimately ravaged the airlines financially, damaged America, killed 2,749 people, and proved very profitable to the perps, in the short and long run.

Who was at the controls watching? Or were those at the controls part of the problem?
