Everyone wants protection for whistleblowers who blow the whistle on corruption...except politicians. What does that tell you? Politicians don't want corruption exposed! That's what it tells you! People: this has got to stop! Politicians aren't working for us anymore, they're working to protect THEIR interests, not OUR interests! It has got to stop!!! WHO in their right mind, doesn't want corruption exposed? Oh! I know! POLITICIANS!!! All the things they're stripping from the stimulus package are for the good of the public: exposing corruption, education, health care, etc...

Time to tar and feather Susan Collins-R Maine. Beware of what politicians are sneaking in or out of the stimulus package. Despite the ugly record of federal spending in Iraq -- where auditors found problems with $88 million in federal contracts, and couldn't account for 8.8 billion dollars -- senators quietly nixed the measure from the bill, without explanation. Susan Collins has been talking a good game about the need to avoid wasting taxpayer money. But it looks like Collins also worked to strip from the final bill a measure that's crucial to exposing that waste.

ALBANY — Democrats took control of the State Senate last month after more than four decades of Republican rule, then set out to determine how the Senate’s own budget of nearly $100 million and its attendant perks were being distributed.

They are still trying to figure it out.

They recently realized there are some 75 employees working at the Senate’s own printing plant, a plain brick building on the outskirts of Albany. On Long Island, they found a small television studio, which had been set up — all with public money, with two press aides on hand to help operate it — for the exclusive use of Republican senators to record cable TV shows.

The FRANKLIN SCANDAL (and subsequent cover up) is the story of a nationwide pedophile ring that pandered children to a cabal of the rich and powerful. The ring’s pimps were a pair of Republican powerbrokers who used Boys Town as a pedophiliac reservoir, had access to the highest levels of our government, and connections to the CIA.

Nebraska legislators nearly exposed the ring in 1990, but its unveiling had the potential to produce seismic political aftershocks: a rash of deaths and a full court press by federal and local law enforcement effected an immaculate cover-up.
