Eileen Coles Madoff's scheme began in 1999. It officially imploded on Dec 10, 2008, two months after Obama took office.
Madoff's ponzi scheme was noticed very early by people who tried to bring it to the SEC's attention and failed. For some reason the SEC allowed him to keep going with it for close to 20 years.
Madoff targeted wealthy Jewish clients. Elie Wiesel and his wife lost their life savings.
Someone who knew Madoff was running the scheme could have "invested" with him, reaped the huge advertised profits, and then withdrawn their investment early with no one the wiser... perhaps even Madoff. Depending on what evidence there might or might not be showing their awareness of the Ponzi scheme and intent to defraud, they could get off scot free and let Madoff take the fall later.

The public did not even learn of the outbreak until June, after a man with an active case of TB was spotted in a Jacksonville soup kitchen.
The Palm Beach Post has managed to obtain records on the outbreak and the CDC report, though only after weeks of repeated requests. These documents should have been freely available under Florida’s Sunshine Law.

Since the insurance policies on the WTC included coverage against
terrorist attacks, Silverstein successfully received a settlement not
just for his losses, but based on “two occurrences” of terrorism, for twice the value of the lost property. This meant that Silverstein sought to collect $7 billion (NYT
9/30/02). In December 2004, a federal jury awarded “only” $4.6 billion
in damages to Silverstein. It did seem true that in just three and a
half years, the real estate magnate had realized a huge profit on his
investment (Forbes 12/06/04).
But to be fair, that wasn’t all profit. Silverstein continued to owe
the Port Authority $100 million a year for rent, had lost $300 million a
year in rent revenues, and had to rebuild the WTC(NYT 03/27/08).
Even with these requirements, how did the apparently outsized
insurance settlement come about? How could someone collect on a property
he’d approved for demolition? Attorney Bill Veale has remarked that
“you are dancing with one of the most perplexing conundrums of 9/11.”
Veale made an important legal distinction: “Silverstein never made a
statement of intent to demolish. He made, legally, what is called an
‘admission,’ a statement that can be used against him, but is less than a
confession” (Pers. Corresp.). Still, the case for planned demolition,
it does seem, would have been a fairly easy one to make, so one has to
wonder why the insurer’s attorneys didn’t argue it.

behind her, the network’s Ashleigh Banfield announced “that is the
building that is going to go down next … there’s no way they can
stabilize it.” Startled by an explosion, Banfield turned toward WTC-7,

Banfield’s outcry indicated that she’d been informed beforehand that
the building would be coming down. No one asked the question: since no
plane had hit this skyscraper and its fires were far smaller than those
in the Towers, how could anyone seem so sure of its demise?
Instant Media Imprinting of the Official Story
Much as CNN told viewers that the building was “incredibly
structurally damaged,” other networks reported on “the building that is
going down next … we heard earlier that it was structurally unstable.”
Still others described the demise of WTC-7 as “part of the ancillary
damage from the other two,” ruined by falling debris from the Twin
Towers. Thus major mass-media outlets—including Fox, CNN, BBC, and NBC,
and MSNBC (twice)—had begun to introduce and even inculcate an official

twist, though, was that NIST quietly changed the story in 2006 when it
finally discarded structural damage as a factor in the fall of WTC-7.

Romney, the candidate's eldest son, and Spencer Zwick, the Romney

Rove's speech was delivered on June 22, the Friday of the retreat
weekend, to about 200 wealthy guests, including quite a few money
harvesters for the Romney campaign, according to GOP sources who
attended but requested anonymity in order to speak freely.
In a half-hour talk followed by questions from the audience, Rove
covered congressional races and the presidential contest, with some
brief remarks about what the super PAC American Crossroads and an
affiliated group are doing with tens of millions he helped raise to
boost GOP fortunes in November, according to two GOP fundraisers who
heard Rove speak.
Tagg Romney and Zwick founded Solamere in 2008, and it has enjoyed a flurry of financial successes in part because of investments
by some longtime Romney backers like ex-eBay chieftain Meg Whitman, as
well as Mitt and Ann Romney themselves, who put $10 million into the
fledgling venture. Zwick referred questions about the event to a
Solamere spokesperson.
Rove also made news on the Saturday morning of the gathering
at a posh Utah resort, the Chateaux at Silver Lake, when he sat on a
panel with Mary Matalin and Bill Kristol to discuss the media. However,
his other appearance in town -- at the Solamere luncheon -- so far has
made no news at all.
Jonathan Collegio, a spokesman for American Crossroads, acknowledged
to The Huffington Post that "Rove gave a speech at a separate event that
was unconnected to the campaign and was similar to speeches he gives

state party committees; fundraisers had to rope in at least $100,000.

The tall rangy Texan and the short pudgy Guyanese pilot looked nothing alike. Yet they shared some remarkable characteristics.
Michael Brassington was a drug pilot from Guyana. Yet oddly enough he
was politically very well-connected in Washington, D.C. His father had
for many years been a top figure at Barclay's Bank in the Caribbean.
While Allen Stanford could do pretty much anything he wanted with his
bank, financially, Michael Brassington's charter jets flew with little
regard to impediments like borders. His charter jet company in Fort
Lauderdale had what envious aviation observers in Florida thought was
diplomatic impunity, or at least a laminated non-revocable "get out of
jail free" card.
Almost daily, Brassington flew into and out of the U.S. At Fort
Lauderdale Executive Airport, where he often landed, U.S. Customs Agents
sometimes didn’t even bother to check his plane.
Allen Stanford's "luck" with financial regulators is clearly visible
in the record. So is Brassington’s. In July of 2000, he was caught
co-piloting a Learjet in Orlando carrying 43 lbs of heroin; yet he
suffered no ill effects.
He wasn't arrested. His name wasn't even in the papers, which is
really impressive, because 43 lbs of heroin is known in the drug trade
as "heavy weight."
For more than 30 years the drug trade has remained a remarkably
stable industry. The effect of constant movement is achieved by
constantly moving things around, to give an illusion of progress in the
never-ending War on Drugs.
Time marches on, and the “Oliver Norths” become the “Allen Stanfords.”
When Stanford was arrested, the first thing he did was retain Oliver North’s lawyer.
Seen in this light, when DEA Chief Administator Michele Leonhart showed up in Afghanistan last year on the arm of former American Drug Lord Oliver North, it was business as usual.

Believe it or not, I saw him about 5 mins from my house in 1979, I was in high school, at Pocono Downs racetrack. Edgar Winter was there, he was by far the best, he blew everyone else away. Is Rachel Maddow a CIA Operative?
On March 29, 2012 Rachel Maddow went on Jon Stewart’s show to promote
her new book: “Drift: The Unmooring of American Military Power”.
Stewart teased her for being a poor saleswoman, but I was flabbergasted
at the allegedly “boring” title:
Drift.
I could hardly believe it.
You see, at the time, I was reading George Friedman’s “The Next
Decade: Empire and Republic in a Changing World”. Friedman asserts that
the USA didn’t set out to become a global military empire, but rather
that the empire just sort of naturally unfolded along with our economic
power.
And Maddow makes the same assertion: that we just sort of “drifted” into empire.
That’s what I have dubbed the “Accidental Empire” meme.
What’s fascinating is that George Friedman is an enthusiastic booster
of global military empire, and Rachel Maddow wants to dismantle a huge
chunk of the military.
And there they are singing from the same hymn book. Propagating the same imperial meme. How is that possible?
Right off the bat in her book, Maddow writes:
“It’s not a conspiracy, there aren’t rogue elements pushing us to subvert our national interests to instead serve theirs.”
And at the 3:10 mark of the Jon Stewart interview, she dismisses the entire idea of conspiracy:
“…conspiracy is easier to understand than understanding the complexity…”Maddow doesn’t put forth any support for her view. And the evidence
of conspiracy is pretty impressive. Is it possible that Maddow is
unaware of President Eisenhower’s famous warning
about the military-industrial complex? No, it’s not possible. She
knows. But she chose to ignore someone with first-hand experience.

And Maddow only mentions him, in passing, a few times in her book?
Ridiculous.Ironically, Maddow may be right; that it’s not a conspiracy. Perhaps

March 30th, Leon Panetta said that Congress was a threat to the USA:
“What they essentially did is put a gun to their heads and the heads of the country.”
Was that from an angry exchange during a Congressional budget hearing? No, it was not. It was, in fact, a speech to sailors and marines aboard the USS Peleliu. How far are we from having the Pentagon arrest Congress on grounds of national security?
Maybe not so far.

ReplyDeleteI think Rove may be photoshopped in - look at the shadows on the wall behind them - O'Keefe shadow is on the right, Rove's is on the left. The only way this could happen is if two flashes were used and they were positioned in exactly the right places. It is unlikely as it appears to be quick shot, not a posed studio shot. Also, zooming in on Rove's glass there only seems to be one source of the flash. If it is photoshopped they did a good job of O'Keefe's cane shadow on Rove.

ReplyDeleteUpon review, Okeefe was the one stripped into the shot after the fact - note the cut-out look around the left perimeter of him. Rove was likely closer the the camera adjacent to Krohn, which is why his head appears huge next to Okeefe - despite the alleged distance from those closer to the camera.

Lieberman to run as an Independent (with the full support of the White House
and Karl Rove).
Now if you always keep the PNAC in mind, and remember the AGENDA
that is being pursued on Israel's behalf, it becomes very clear that a massive

I'm in this debate on FB, I posts that the "news" broke into the Paterno/Sandusky decision, why don't they break into the "news" for NDAA, the communications executive order, HR347, Patriot Act, rigged wall st markets, LIMOR, etc...and a guy came along and said, OH NO, ANOTHER "TRUTHER". I began to debate with him, listing a ton of evidence (as usual), his argument: "YOU'RE NUTS", "YOU'RE A CONSPIRACY THEORIST". I said, PLEASE POST YOUR EVIDENCE instead of calling me names. Of course, he had no evidence, because there IS no evidence for his side. I listed all the professional organizations, too: architects & engineers, firefighters, pilots, etc...
