Well, you saw my posts on these fucking "fees". They really infuriate me. And then they engage in extortion, they hold your money until they get their "fees". They hold you hostage.
ReplyDeleteThe one time AOL (long time ago) kept taking "automatic" money out of my account for 6 months AFTER I cancelled them. My account went negative. Wachovia did nothing about it, I reported it to Wachovia.
My account at Wachovia went to MINUS $300. I changed my direct deposit QUICKLY, because they would've taken the MINUS $300 from my paycheck, without my permission, of course. I opened an account somewhere else, AND LEFT MY WACHOVIA ACCOUNT AT NEGATIVE $300. Fuck 'em. They kept calling me and writing me for the money. Until this day, and this happened now it must be close to 10 years ago, I still get letters from them.
How about the GAS I bought the other day, they held $125 for up to 72 hours on me, for $30 of gas?

How about THIS deception no one ever, that I ever saw, articulated, and this is exactly how that whole AOL thing happened with me: everyone had dial-up, so you HAD to have AOL (or something like AOL, to signin to the internet). When they came out with high speed cable, and people switched from dial-up to cable high speed, they didn't realize they were ALREADY ON THE INTERNET AND DIDN'T NEED TO SIGNON TO AOL. But they kept thinking they still had to, and kept the $30/month AOL. They THOUGHT they still had to signon to AOL to get on the internet.

I called my local high speed provider, I think it was Adelphia at the time, and said, "Do I have to signon to AOL to get on the internet???" They said "NO", you're ALREADY ON the internet, 24x7, just by having our cable going to your computer. That is why I cancelled AOL, that is how that whole thing started with AOL continuing to charge me anyway.

It sounds stupid NOW, but back then it wasn't. In fact, I was one of the first ones to realize this (I mean "first ones", as in people I KNOW, like friends, family). And I started telling them, "YOU KNOW, YOU DON'T HAVE TO SIGN ONTO AOL, WHY ARE YOU STILL PAYING THE $30/MONTH FOR AOL? On July 22, 2003, Hadley offered his resignation to Bush because he had
"failed in that responsibility" and that "the high standards the
president set were not met." Bush denied Hadley's request. Amid this, The Times of London reported that Hadley was Bob Woodward's source for Valerie Plame's name in the CIA leak scandal, but this report proved to be false when Richard Armitage admitted that he was Woodward's source.[2]

That means he is formally responsible for it.”
Because he won’t release Bain’s Board of Directors meeting minutes – and
because he had no other strategy to put this all to rest besides
stonewalling– Romney has set a trap for himself and walked right into
himself.
And by allowing these questions about his involvement to dominate the
news, he has now put in jeopardy the entire underpinning of this
campaign: that his Bain experience has prepared him to fix the economy.
