Special Commentary by Big Dan: "The NYC 'bomber' is just another excuse to take more liberties away from us like 9/11 was used to install The Patriot Act and get us into more wars for the military industrial complex. Bush and Obama are on the same page on this. After initial reports that said the bomber acted alone, now Eric Holder is saying that the Taliban and Pakistan 'financed' it. They financed buying some BBQ propane tanks, a used vehicle from Craigslist, and a bag of fertilizer? I could've done that on unemployment!!! What kind of bullshit is this??? And do you honestly believe he bought the wrong kind of fertilizer? Come on!!! Funny we happen to have an undeclared war going on against Pakistan and all the latest 'terrorists' are from Pakistan. The latest 'terrorists' are always from the next country we want to go to war with, and the other ones 'disappear'. When we were trying to go to war with Iraq and Afghanistan, there were no 'terrorists' from Pakistan. WHO is telling you to say that, Eric? Why aren't you busy reversing everything unconstitutional from the Bush administration, instead of perpetuating it? We need to hold to the liberties of the Constitution EXACTLY when things are at their worst, not when things are going well. That is EXACTLY what the Constitution is for!!! Ben Franklin said that those who would trade some liberty for some freedom...DESERVE NEITHER!!! So when there's 'terrorists', we should trash the constitution??? This was an excuse to ram in more cameras in NYC and take away more American citizens' privacy."

AGAIN...I stand by my statement that you will realize the government and media's official 9/11 story is a SHAM and the 9/11 Commission was a cover up, after you watch these EXPERT FIREFIGHTERS, ENGINEERS, & ARCHITECTS explode the MYTHS of 9/11:

  1. he number of American soldiers seeking treatment for opiate abuse has skyrocketed over the past five years, at a time when the U.S. military has been surging forces into the heart of the world's leading opium producer.

Pentagon statistics obtained by FoxNews.com show that the number of Army soldiers enrolled in Substance Abuse Program counseling for opiates has soared nearly 500 percent -- from 89 in 2004 to 529 last year. The number showed a steady increase almost every year in that time frame -- but it leaped 50 percent last year when the U.S. began surging troops into Afghanistan. Army troop levels in Afghanistan went from 14,000 as of the end of 2004 to 46,400 as of the end of 2009.

The Army did not break down the opiate-use data to show how many of the soldiers had been deployed to Afghanistan or what specific opiates they were using; opiate drugs include morphine, codeine and heroin.

A funky-looking BMW caused a bomb scare on the Upper West Side today after the driver covered the black-and-white vehicle with a tarp and left the engine running while he picnicked with his girlfriend.

An alert passer-by called police after noticing that the vehicle — an SUV which hasn’t been released on the general market yet — was parked directly in front of the main entrance to the Museum of Natural History on Central Park West.

For several hours, CPW between West 77th and West 81st streets was closed as the NYPD bomb squad smashed the rear and side passenger windows of the vehicle — covered with small black-and-white swirls — to search it. The car’s interior also was covered with tarps.

  4. You have to be insane or poor to join the U.S. military.

  5. Two of my good friends during college were Vietnam veterans who had become hooked on heroin while in 'Nam. The army gave them early general discharges and sent them through a rehab program.
Within a year of returning they began using various downers and soon started injecting them. Despite the efforts of friends and relatives they slipped back into heroin.

The last time I saw them they were both in jail for kidnapping a businessman and trying to force him to drive them from Wisconsin to California. The guy bailed at the first stoplight they came to so having no money for gas the drove the car out along the river and abandoned it and went home to bed.

They were so strung out they thought they had got away with it, even though the guy knew them. He had treated them to dinner and drinks and offered a ride to the next town prior to them abducting him.

Oil leak is 5 times greater than reported by officials

    Source: Pensacola News Journal

The amount of oil gushing from BP's Deepwater Horizon oil disaster is five times more than what the oil company and the U.S. Coast Guard are currently estimating, said a Florida State University oceanography professor on Saturday.

At an oil spill environmental forum at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front, Ian MacDonald said the blowout is gushing 25,000 barrels a day.

The Coast Guard and BP estimate 5,000 barrels a day of crude is spewing into the Gulf.

MacDonald said his estimate is based on satellite images and government maps forecasting the slick's trajectory.

  10. The government spent $175 million investigating the Challenger space shuttle disaster.
It spent $152 million on the the Columbia disaster investigation.

It spent $30 million investigating the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

The government only authorized $15 million for the 9/11 Commission.

And how much has the government authorized for the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission? You know, the commission charged with getting to the bottom of what caused the financial crisis?

    Just $8 million.

You can tell a lot about the questions which the government is truly interested in finding answers to by the amount of money it authorizes for the various investigations.

  11. BP:More Gas In Gulf Leak Than Earlier Thought; To Try Small Dome
    HOUSTON (Dow Jones)

After a rapidly freezing mix of natural gas and water derailed attempts to place a big underwater dome on top of a deepwater well leaking oil into the Gulf of Mexico, BP Plc (BP) hopes a smaller dome will do the trick, Chief Executive Tony Hayward said Monday.

The big dome failed because "there's a lot more gas involved in the leak than we had hitherto believed" that combined with water to form hydrates that clogged a 12-inch opening at the top of the structure, said Hayward. The new steel dome--five feet in diameter, five feet tall and shaped like a "top hat"-- will be ready to deploy within 72 hours, the executive said in a meeting with reporters at BP's Houston campus.

The company will pump methanol into the new dome to keep ice from forming, he said. Also, the smaller size of the structure should keep water out.

Hayward's comments came after several attempts to shut off the 5,000 barrel-a-day spill--ranging from the giant subsea dome to shutting off a giant underwater blow-out preventer using robots--have failed.

But BP is still trying to fight the spill on the surface, at the shoreline and at the well site, the CEO said. Concurrently with the small dome, BP is drilling a relief well to kill the leaking well, an effort that is expected to take months. A second, back-up relief well will be drilled starting at the end of the week, "probably Friday," he said.
