Big Dan's Big News March 7, 2010

The mainstream media cartel will let you know when someone they've portrayed as "nuts" says 9/11 was an inside job, but not when thousands of non-partisan expert architects and engineers  say it! See below...

Ahmadinejad: Sept. 11 attacks a 'big lie' used by US as an excuse to invade Iraq, Afghanistan

Flashback to three weeks ago: notice the (not) "liberal media" doesn't tell you this about Ahmadinejad but tells you about his 9/11 statement!

American public not informed of Ahmadinejad's anti-war remarks by the American corporate media.

Iran - the reported and the unreported

Two days ago, there wasn't a media source in the U.S. which didn't report on President Ahmadinejad's speech on "Revolution Day", which included his claim that Iran could, if they wanted to, enrich uranium to 80%, and this somewhat belligerent sounding remark (were it not for the sentence which follows it):

"The Iranian nation is brave enough that if one day we wanted to build nuclear bombs we would announce it publicly without being afraid of you," Ahmadinejad said, addressing Iran's Western enemies.

He told the crowd, "When we say that we don't build nuclear bombs, it means that we won't do that because we don't believe in having it."

Yesterday Ahmadinejad had more to say. When you read it, you won't be surprised that not a single Western source has reported it:

"We believe that not only the Middle East but also the whole world should be free of nuclear weapons because we see such weapons as inhumane," Ahmadinejad said in an interview with Russia's NTV channel.

"Today, no one can use a nuclear weapon and we believe that the US is taking a wrong move by stockpiling nuclear weapons," Ahmadinejad stated.

He stressed that the nuclear weapons no longer have efficiency, noting the US that possesses nuclear weapons will never achieve victory in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"Those who claim that they are against nuclear weapons should dismantle their nuclear weapons first to prove that they are honest," the Iranian president said.

US media omission: Iran calls for global nuclear disarmament

AntiWar.com is the only American media to cover the story:

Iran President: Era of Nuclear Weapons Over. Ahmadinejad calls for worldwide nuclear disarmament

Iran president: Era of nuclear weapons over

Ahmadinejad: We believe A-bomb is inhumane

Turkey reports it, but not the American corporate media:

Ahmadinejad Calls For Global Nuclear Disarmament

...NOTICE!!! They tell you Ahmadinejad said 9/11 was a Big Lie, but they ignore thousands of architects and engineers at AE911Truth.org who don't believe the Big Lie! Why? Because the corporate owned media will tell you whenever anyone they've portrayed as a "nut" says that the U.S. government's 9/11 story was a Big Lie! But not when EXPERTS say it! Who OWNS the mainstream media? Let's call it "the cartel". The cartel is: corporations, the military industrial complex, and the wealthiest Americans. That's not what I call "liberal". And when you usurp something, you have to keep calling it "liberal" so you know it hasn't been usurped. And you need shills like Rush Limbaugh who work for the "cartel" to keep calling it the "liberal media". FOLKS: the mainstream media, while calling themselves "liberal", is just always trying to prepare you to accept what the "cartel" is going to do next. Like BOMB IRAN!!!

What is so hard to believe about 9/11 being an inside job?

Governments From Around the World ADMIT That They Carry Out False Flag Terro

Why We are Susceptible to Manipulation

Maybe you'll believe these real non-partisan expert architects and engineers? And not the people who pushed the official story: politicians and the media? The media cartel ignored THESE guys below, but let's you know when anyone who is considered "nuts" (even if they aren't) says 9/11 was an inside job:

Here's more, The Ahmadinejad “Israel must be wiped off the map” corporate media FOLKLORE:

Across the world a media story has spread that Iran’s President Ahmadinejad has threatened to destroy Israel, by saying that, “Israel must be wiped off the map.” Contrary to general belief, this statement was actually a misinterpretation. However, it was the Islamic Republic News Service in Iran that first mistranslated the quote. Iran’s Foreign Minister attempted to clarify the statement, but the quote ended up having a life of its own in the corporate media. (a "convenient" misinterpretation? at least a media retraction of this "misinterpretation" never came forth! What made the Project Censored list, is that the corporate media censored the fact that it was a misinterpretation and that he never said it!)...

FLASHBACK: Media ownership study ordered destroyed - 'Every last piece' destroyed

Here is another story "the cartel" is purposely ignoring: the Sibel Edmonds story. Why? Because she testified of traitors from BOTH parties at the highest levels of government who were on the take from operatives from a foreign country. It never happened! "Liberal media" my ASS!!! Keep on listening to the cartel's brightest star: Rush Limbaugh, the one who calls the cartel the "liberal media" the most!

Left Gears Up to Fight Media Wars

The Republican Noise Machine

David Brock, the reformed conservative noise-maker, on how the Right has sabotaged journalism, democracy, and truth.

As a young journalist in the 1990s, David Brock was a key cog the Republican noise machine. Writing for the American Spectator, a conservative magazine funded by billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife, Brock gained fame for his attack pieces on Anita Hill and President Bill Clinton. Then, in 2002, Brock came clean. In his memoir, Blinded by the Right, Brock admitted that his work was based on lies and distortion, and part of a coordinated smear campaign funded by wealthy right wing groups to discredit Clinton and confuse the public.

Since then, Brock has continued to expose the conservative media onslaught. In his newest book, The Republican Noise Machine, Brock documents how right-wing groups pressure the media and spread misinformation to the public. It's easy to see how this is done.

Fringe conspiracies and stories will be kept alive by outlets like Rush Limbaugh, the Washington Times, and the Drudge Report, until they finally break into the mainstream media.

Media groups like Brent Bozell's Media Research Center have spent 30 years convincing the public that the media is, in fact, liberal. As Brock says, it's all a sham: "I have seen, and I know firsthand, indeed from my own pen, how the organized Right has sabotaged not only journalism but also democracy and truth."

A wonderful link to one of my favorite progressive bands from the 70s. Renaissance. I have all of their albums. This was the closest thing they had to a hit single, "Northern Lights". Annie is in fine form here as usual with her multi octave voice. Renaissance had class, style and most of all, talent to burn!...all with classical influence. Try to listen to some Renaissance and you will discover what true musical talent is.

Here's my entry today, I stumbled across this. OK, it's far out, but here it is:

  7. I think I have it pretty much nailed: the cartel (the wealthiest few, corporations, military ind complex) OWNS the news and uses it to prepare us to accept what they will do next. They also control the government, so they do what the cartel wants. They NEED people like Rush Limbaugh to call the mainstream media "liberal" so we won't know or believe they've usurped it, because it was once liberal. So they have to keep calling it liberal.

  8. You know what I noticed too? And this falls in line with my previous statements that the U.S. and Israel are doing most of the so-called suicide bombings. I really hardly watch the mainstream news live, like CNN, etc... But my father had it on in the hospital. And guess what? There's all sorts of suicide bombs going off in Pakistan...NOW THAT WE ARE THERE!!! As usual, the exact same thing wherever we go. WE are doing most of it.

  9. BINGO !!! About the news. The cartels know in advance where there next move will be. So they have to massage the masses in order ot prepare them for their justification, and or FALSE FLAG.

Pakistan--- Kasmir is their Palestine. As long as India and the Paks go back and forth over Kasmir [think water] the Paks will back the Afghan Taliban, and tolerate the Pak Taliban.

Luntz inadvertently shows why Fox News prefers to call reconciliation the "nuclear option"

March 04, 2010 11:00 pm ET by Greg Lewis

On tonight's Hannity, Fox News contributor and "Word Doctor" Frank Luntz appeared to make a very revealing error during his health care reform focus group segment.

As shown in the clip below, Luntz asked the focus group participants if Democrats "should try to get any health care through and accept 51 votes as being enough," noting that, "it's called reconciliation." At that point, close to half of the group raised their hands, apparently in agreement with this idea. After a brief pause, Luntz altered his question, asking who wanted Democrats to use the "so-called nuclear option." At that point, several people in the focus group lowered their hands. Check out the video:

  13. Everyone who comes here I consider on the "left" for the most part. Of that "left", I think there's a split: those who want the perfect only and those who will take the good if they can't get the perfect. The age old argument of the left: don't let the good be the enemy of the perfect, or the lesser of two evils argument. I consider those who chastise the good because it's not perfect as painting with too broad a brush. I think any good is good and I'll take it.

We can have the Republicans controlling the media with lies and distortions, like the O'Keefe thing, and chastise places like media matters or brad blog for pointing out those lies and distortions because they also don't report on exactly the things you like, too, like 9/11 for example. Now, I think we need media matters to combat the decades unchallenged lies and distortions in the mainstream media by the Republican Noise Machine. It's a "good thing" that now we have media matters pointing out GOP lies and distortions in the mainstream media. It's a "good thing" that media matters is pointing out that the media isn't liberal and it's the same people who usurped it calling it liberal.

I don't think there's a right or wrong answer to the "lesser of two evils" age old argument we are always having, and we should agree to disagree.

It sort of reminds me of my wife, this all or nothing argument. She washed my daughter's clothes and my daughter pointed out that she didn't want a certain thing washed. "WELL, I AM NEVER GOING TO WASH YOUR CLOTHES EVER AGAIN, THEN!" This argument is in every facet of your life, and I don't subscribe to the "all or nothing", painting things black and white. I'm a shades of gray person.

I don't agree with everything Alex Jones or Ron Paul say, but they're right about a lot of things. Even if I don't agree on a serious issue with them like health care, I don't go around saying: "I'm taking all their links down and never posting an article by them again!"

The funny thing is, I think there's good people and idiots in the Tea Party. I think there's different factions of the Tea Party, like the co-opted Tea Party Express funded and run by Dick Armey and Freedom Works shill group. But yet, the Ron Paul faction has said a lot of things I agree with.

I don't call people who point out the racist aspect of the Tea Party, and there is beyond a doubt a racist aspect, "elitists". But yet I think that some people from the left paint the Tea Partiers with too broad of a brush because there's many nuances to them.

  14. And here's one more point: if you sit around waiting for the perfect, your funeral will come way before that time comes, if it ever does.

  15. If you're starving, I think you'll eat bugs instead of waiting for a steak dinner. Or at least, you'll eat macaroni and cheese!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I disagree. If you are starving...literally STARVING...you will eat ROCKS.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The Tea Partiers are right. There is socialism in the United States. It’s called the National Football League. In fact, this fantastically successful experiment in corporate socialism is now at risk of being ruined by owners and players who are threatening to behave as rational market actors.

The league’s business practices contradict the tenets of a free market. With its salary cap and salary floor that oblige all 32 franchises to spend the same amount on players each year, the NFL effectively prohibits any team from gaining an investment advantage over its competitors.

A draft order that bestows the highest picks on the weakest teams punishes winners and rewards losers. And at the root of all this leveling is the owners’ collectivist arrangement to divvy up TV revenue equally among themselves.

But now the owners are complaining that a salary cap based on the players receiving nearly 60 percent of total gross revenue has become an unbearable burden for some franchises. And players don’t want to change the formula if they can’t see the owners’ books. So this year is already uncapped and next year could bring a lockout. Labor and management are making an omelet out of a golden egg and threatening to kill the goose that laid it. Karl Marx could explain this; it’s definitely not in the playbook of either Ron Paul or Sarah Palin.

  30. Romney is saying: "I can work for the cartel, listen to this"

By speaking to Muslim countries, the president gives support to those who don't believe the official account of 9/11, says former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

"I saw even Ahmadinejad is now saying 9/11 is a fabrication," Romney told Fox News' Chris Wallace.

"These sorts of voices should not receive any kind of support from the words of the president of the United States."
