A sheep gave birth to a dead lamb with a human-like face. The calf was born in a village not far from the city of Izmir, Turkey.
Erhan Elibol, a vet, performed Cesarean section on the animal to take the calf out, but was horrified to see that the features of the calf’s snout bore a striking resemblance to a human face.
“I’ve seen mutations with cows and sheep before. I’ve seen a one-eyed calf, a two-headed calf, a five-legged calf. But when I saw this youngster I could not believe my eyes. His mother could not deliver him so I had to help the animal,” the 29-year-old veterinary said.

Scott Brown (R) has thrown a major scare into the Democratic establishment in his bid to win next Tuesday's special Senate election over once heavily favored Attorney General Martha Coakley.
The intensified activity around the campaign to fill the seat of the late senator Edward M. Kennedy (D) highlights the degree to which the race has taken on national significance. A victory, or even a narrow loss, by Brown in the competition for the symbolically important seat would be interpreted as another sign that voters have turned away from the Democrats at the start of the midterm election year.
More urgently, a Brown win would give Republicans 41 seats in the Senate and the ability to block President Obama's health-care initiative and much of the Democrats' 2010 congressional agenda. Strategists on both sides concede that a Brown victory would drastically reshape the calculus of the health-care debate, which is now in its final stages.
Brown still has some distance to go to pull off an upset, but Democrats now recognize they were wrong not to have taken his challenge more seriously from the start and are vowing not to let the race slip away out of neglect and a lack of aggressiveness.
"We believe at the end of the day the attorney general is going to win the race, but we're not going to take our foot off the gas," said Eric Schultz, spokesman for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

Bangladeshi cabbie in NY returns cash left in taxi
A Bangladeshi taxi driver in New York City has gone out of his way to track down the person who left thousands of dollars in cash in the back of his cab.
Mukul Asadujjaman, a medical student, drove nearly 80kms (50 miles) to an address he found with the money.
He left his phone number when he found no one at home. The money belonged to an Italian grandmother visiting the US.
Mr Asadujjaman was offered a reward, but he turned it down saying that as a devout Muslim he could not accept it.

School removes CCTV cameras from children's toilets after furious protest from parents
A school has been forced to remove CCTV cameras they installed in the students' toilets after furious protests from pupils and parents.
Hundreds of outraged students petitioned against the cameras after they spotted them in the toilets and even refused to use the loos all day so they were not caught on CCTV.
Other children were kept at home by their families rather than expose themselves to the "gross invasion of privacy".

Portrait studio chain suddenly closes

Children's portrait chain Kiddie Kandids has abruptly closed its 184 locations in the U.S., including a studio in South Portland, leaving seven jobless.
According to an e-mail sent to employees on Monday, the Utah-based chain ceased operations after banks cut off its funding, WCSH 6 reported. The move leaves its photographers unpaid for the last two weeks of work and their personal expenses unreimbursed, and employees' were also left without health insurance.
Seven employees have lost their jobs at Kiddie Kandids' single Maine location, inside the Babies R Us store near the Maine Mall. The company plans to file for Chapter 7 liquidation in bankruptcy court, the news station reported.

PHOENIX — If President Barack Obama wants to run for reelection he would need to produce proof of both his U.S. birth and citizenship to get on the ballot in Arizona, if one state lawmaker gets her way.
Rep. Judy Burges, R-Skull Valley, is preparing a law to require anyone running for president or vice president to provide proof to the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office that they are legally eligible to seek the office. The U.S. Constitution requires the president — and, by extension, the vice president — to be “a natural born citizen.”
Burges would require the Secretary of State to verify that status independently.
“If it’s not certifiable, then that person’s name would not go on the ballot,” she said.
Burges said the measure is not necessarily about Obama, though she admitted she doubts he was born in Hawaii as he claims or that he can show he is a U.S. citizen.
“With what’s happening throughout the world, that we need to make sure that our candidates are certifiable,” she said.

Giuliani, who was mayor of New York City when terrorists struck on Sept. 11, 2001, plans to campaign for Scott Brown at an event in Boston on Friday.
