Egyptian woman protester kisses an Egyptian riot policeman:

Egyptian, Tunisian and Yemeni protesters all say that inequality is one of the main reasons they're protesting. However, the U.S. actually has much greater inequality than in any of those countries.

Inequality In America Is Worse Than In Egypt, Tunisia Or Yemen

Do you think the Egyptian people will go for this: they're protesting Mubarak...and he says he's firing his cabinet but he himself stays (the person they're protesting)...and he gets to pick new cronies. Good deal?

ARABS, OH ARABS, REVOLT AGAINST AMERICA’S TYRANTS

If Western leaders, who have backed the dictator Mubarak for 30 years, cannot stand before the Egyptian people today and say unequivocally, "we support your right of national self-determination," when can they do it?

That's the question that Egyptian democracy leader and Nobel laureate Mohamed ElBaradei has put before Western leaders today.

I don't know if this is old news or not, but this clip has been getting a lot of attention since I posted it a few days ago and apparently, nobody knew the guy's name on Fox News that basically repeated word for word what would become the official story of how the WTC collapsed within 90 minutes of their destruction. Here is the clip in its entirety. The guy's name was Mark Walsh and he was a freelancer for Fox News. He was interviewed by Rick Leventhal at about 11:55 a.m. on 9/11.

  3. Here's a bigger question I never came across: the guy interviewing him is "Mark Walsh". That's the ONLY thing he ever did. So, he's a "reporter" who reported ONCE???

  4. Man, that really sticks in your craw about Lennon!

  5. John Lennon is my single favorite artist all time, and I've read and seen so much about him that it's SICK and I cannot even read anything more about him for years. I was on Lennon overload for years, years ago. To the point that it still effects me today, in that I cannot read ONE more thing about him.

That being said, since I always say my "likes" about him, here is my biggest dislike: the way he marketed Yoko along with himself. He first put her songs on side 2 of "some time in NYC" album, then he realized no one listened to side 2. With "double fantasy", he put her songs in between her songs so you HAD TO listen to her songs.

Sorry, but from a fan's standpoint, that SUCKED really BAAAAAAAAAD.

From a personal standpoint, it's his wife and I don't blame him.

BUT I AM NOT MARRIED TO HER!!! That's HIS problem!

  6. Did John Lennon care what his fans thought about "shoving Yoko down their throats"? Probably not. Absolutely not, or he wouldn't have done that. From HIS standpoint, I don't blame him. From a fans' and musics' standpoint, it was really ridiculous. Sorry, but I'm just being truthful.

And still, I am no fan of Yoko. I would never have heard of her and wouldn't want to. I wouldn't be buying "Yoko albums", if she was an independent artist in no way connected to John Lennon.

  7. Here's the point: it's fine that John loved Yoko, that's a personal thing. But he tried to shove her down his fans' throats. He didn't draw the line between personal and professional there. It's HIS wife, not MINE! Know what I mean?
