ReplyDeleteWell, when you watch it as two separate events, yes, that's how I view it. By that I mean that event #1 is that the corner of the building begins to fail structurally - which they would obviously be watching like a hawk. I can't say it matters whether it was solely the result of the plane strike. I'd be more inclined to assume that there were thermate cutter charges set in that corner, which were ignited prematurely by the plane fire. They were doing what they were designed to do, but doing it too well, too soon. The top of the building is tipping as a result of the failure of that corner beam - so momentum and inertia are increasing - though not straight downward, but to the side. Then suddenly, the sideways momentum stops, as all support below that corner gives way, due to the order for full scale implosion - and gravity does its thing.

In a conversation Larry Silverstein claims he had with the fire department commander - "I said we've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing is to just pull it, and they (the fire department commander) made that decision to pull, and we watched the building collapse."

It does not follow that collapse can occur by mere decisions or words...any more than it follows that you could fly to the moon simply by deciding to.

The ONLY way this conversation could occur is if the building were wired prior to 9/11 for demolition. It is no more logical than having a conversation about deciding to fly to the moon this afternoon, or not. Without the means - the desire, discussion, and subsequent decision, could never logically occur - let alone the flight itself.
So - it is true that Larry Silverstein is guilty of arson and insurance fraud. But here's the kicker. The reinsurance company that was on the hook to make the payout HAD TO have been in on it from the outset, and further, was reimbursed by some other means for the monies paid to Silverstein.
Not that the largest insurance company owner in America is one Warren Buffet, who just happened to be hosting a golf outing at Offutt Air force Base in Nebraska on the morning of 9/11, as was, coincidentally, Anne Tatlock, who worked for Buffet. Had she been at work that morning instead, the plane's nose would have flown directly into her office.

There are only five countries with SLBM-capable subs: U.S., Russia, China, Great Britain, and France.
