ReplyDeleteIn the Sierra Nevada mountains east of here they have had over 50 feet of snow so far this year with another 4 feet predicted today. The Sacramento river is at warning or flood stage it's entire length. Shasta, Oroville & Folsom lakes, the main reservoirs in the watershed, are full with little reserve space. The last 10 days have seen a series of storms with snow down to 2000 foot elevation. Two tornadoes close to here in the last two days - very rare. 70mph winds predicted today.
One warm storm with heavy rain and we are toast! Soggy toast!
We got 1 foot of snow 2 days ago, you can see why I haven't been here: snow, moving my daughter, 2 cars down.
