Our "friends" Israel shoot an American in the face with a tear gas canister. He's in serious condition.

What will Americans do when it's not an Arab woman wailing over a stricken figure, but an American woman?

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the world’s major sources of instability. Americans are directly connected to this conflict, and increasingly imperiled by its devastation. It is the goal of If Americans Knew to provide full and accurate information on this critical issue, and on our power – and duty – to bring a resolution.

How the Israeli lobby AIPAC smears people who write the truth. Allison Weir interviews "Israel Lobby" authors Steven Walt and John Mearsheimer.

"Inside the United States, there is a powerful interest group that is deeply committed to shaping American foreign policy in ways that work to the benefit Israel...not in the American interest." (this is AIPAC)

Grabbing the Third Rail - Two professors respond to the backlash over their controversial paper on the Israel Lobby.

In the U.S., you can advocate torture, illegal spying, and completely optional though murderous wars and be appointed to the highest positions. But you can't, apparently, criticize Israeli actions too much or question whether America's blind support for Israel should be re-examined.

For all of you out there who may have questioned whether there was a powerful "Israel lobby," or who admitted that it existed but didn't think it had much influence, or who thought that the real problem was some supposedly all-powerful "Saudi lobby," think again.

I don't believe Rush Limbaugh and rightwing radio is as popular as is claimed. And the Washington Post was just taken down for claiming Limbaugh's ratings "doubled" since his controversy with Obama. The Republicans just got smoked the last 2 elections, and somehow Rush Limbaugh is "wildly popular"??? All you need to do is understand ONE FAKERY and how they're doing it and how rich people with certain interests are financing this FAKERY, and it will open the floodgates for you to be able to detect it anytime it's happening around you. Use common sense; use your BRAIN! You don't need an "expert" to tell you that Limbaugh's ratings are going through the roof, if the Republicans just got SMASHED in the last two elections. Does that make any sense to you? Or are you the kind of person that needs to tell you what to think? You are a DUPE and a SAP and a DITTOHEAD if you believe all this nonsense! You are an IDIOT if you think REAL black people are calling Rush Limbaugh all the time and say: "Rush, I'm a black guy, and I agree with everything you say!" Only on Rush Limbaugh, do black people talk like this! It's FAKE!!! It's a scripted INFOMERCIAL!!! It's PROPAGANDA!!!

Update: Rush Limbaugh's 'Doubled Ratings' an Article of Faith or a Lie?

Ladies and gentlemen: Is it possible that Rush Limbaugh and rightwing radio is not as popular as they (who? exactly?) are telling us? And it is in the best interests of corporations and rightwing billionaires like Richard Mellon Scaife and the Coors family to finance rightwing radio, even at a loss, because it's still better for them in the long run to choke out progressive AM radio so people don't know the truth of what's going on for free on AM? And to fabricate false successful ratings of rightwing AM radio? And to fabricate in the media that progressive AM radio isn't working? When they are really behind the scenes making sure progressives don't get on AM radio?

How are radio ratings gathered? Do you know if rightwing radio is really as popular as they are claiming they are?

When the ratings numbers are collected, they're not made public. The only way reporters can get ratings information for syndicated talkers is if their syndication companies want to release it. (Or via advertiser.) In other words, the only way we'd know if Limbaugh's ratings have "doubled" would be if Limbaugh's company said so.

Limbaugh is widely acknowledged to be the most popular talk-radio host, as evidenced by the record $400 million, eight-year contract he signed with his syndicator last July. But estimates of Limbaugh's nationwide (and overseas) audience are exercises in guesswork, slippery methodology and suspect data. Limbaugh himself has muddied the water with the claim that he reaches 20 million people a week, although there's no independent support for that figure.

Why don't we just pretend Rush Limbaugh has 50 million listeners?

Here's how Harrison explains coming to that conclusion: "It's what we're hearing, based on the e-mails, the calls, all the buzz this controversy is generating. We put a little bit of our interpretation on it, added it all up, and that puts you in the ballpark."

Here’s how strong Harrison’s “research” is: His own magazine wouldn’t cite it without sourcing the quote to Kurtz’s article! He’s the publisher of “Talkers” magazine, but they didn’t publish the “research,” quoting their own publisher from another publication.

The Republican Noise Machine

Wikipedia: Astroturfing is a word in American English describing formal political, advertising, or public relations campaigns seeking to create the impression of being spontaneous "grassroots" behavior, hence the reference to the artificial grass, AstroTurf.

Take a look at some other proven FAKERY of the rightwing and corporations to make something "appear" different than it really is. Check out what "astroturfing" is below:

'GRASSROOTS' TEA PARTY SAID CORPORATE FRONT

What hasn't been reported until now is evidence linking Santelli's "tea party" rant with some very familiar names in the Republican rightwing machine, from PR operatives who specialize in imitation-grassroots PR campaigns (called "astroturfing") to bigwig politicians and notorious billionaire funders.
